A BLOSSOM IN THE LORD’S VINEYARD

Greeting to all my young readers!

Your enthusiastic self desire to blossom as an active bud in the Lord’s vineyard stirred immense joy within me!

Aditya’s zeal and great contentment made everyone cheerful. Thanks to you, child! May Lord inspire and bring many more like you to be blessed. Let’s sing praises in gratitude to our Abba Father who gifted you parents who have great reverence and fear of God.

I am sure there are many more who would love to share their suggestions but might be hesitant. Never mind! Do come forward without any apprehension. What truly matters is that we share the grace He merits us through our weakness.

In the course of Advent Activities, Lord Jesus gifted you with an urge to assist the needy; filled your tiny hearts with compassion that recited a prayer for them. It is indeed worth appreciating your good efforts.

It is always better to have a clear insight on why do we insist you to lend a helping hand to the genuinely sick and poor around you. When Lord Jesus was of your age, He would notice there were many who were rejected or pleading for help; and He made it a point to comfort them by offering small help and prayed to God for their well being.

When he grew up and engrossed in His Mission, as we read in the Holy Bible, He, moved with compassion, healed everyone who approached Him. He would show love and concern by restoring what they required. The Lord’s heart would be overjoyed with peace as He could wipe out their suffering.

Similarily, through the Advent activities, you too became God’s fellow workers. Inwardly and externally the joy continues to instigate you to do more and more for others through the Lord.

I would suggest you all to polish your behaviors and attitude as through your deeds you would be silently witnessing your Living God  who cares for everyone.  His name is Immanuel- God is with us!

Begin your day with a small prayer thanking Lord for the day and then offer everyone and every schedule to Him. Fulfill your daily responsibilities without your parents and  other’s compulsion. Be sure to have fun while playing. When the time to study ticks, invite the Lord to sit beside you and place all your worries in Him. His wisdom will assist your little fingers in your home-works and enlighten your brain to grasp all that is taught. Be helpful to those who are weak in their studies by doing so, your friends too will benefit the Lord’s blessings through you. Before you sleep, bow to the Lord in gratitude for a fulfilling day.

May your arising innocent prayers lead many to the truth.

Our team consists of many junior silent warriors and you too could be a part of it. Be sure to pray to the Infant Jesus, who would be registering your name too. We look forward to welcome many of you soon!

As a bird needs a pair of wings to fly, so is knowledge and wisdom to a prayer warrior.

PRAYER FOR STUDENTS

O child Jesus, my Lord and good teacher, I a student have come to your presence. I surrender to you my studies and all its burdens. Help me to study wholeheartedly. Bless those students who do not have the right ambience to do their studies. O! Good Jesus, who helps me, I offer millions of thanks to you. Praise you Jesus! I love you Jesus! Halleluia! Amen.

May the Lord bless you and take care of you. May He be kind and gracious to you. May the Lord look on you with favor and give you peace.

ADVENT ACTIVITIES

PART III

Dear children,

Greetings of Christmas! How was your last week? Hope you did your best to do well and lend a helping hand to your parents, family and friends.

We are already into the third week of advent and the candle of joy is to be lit. As a preparation let us pluck out the plants of sadness, anxiety, fear and laziness,disobedience etc..

So let’s awaken ourselves to receive the Holy Infant in a Supreme holy manner; by checking our hearts once again for any traces of malice like anger, restlessness arising from concealing your school work etc., to your guardians.

It is good to practice sharing, caring and helping others with a joyful heart without expecting anything from them that will form an ornate manger for your King of Peace.

St. Nicholas, better known as Santa Claus is another cheer during the Christmas celebrations. God had blessed Nicholas with enough wealth and a generous heart. He moved with compassion on seeing the poor and downtrodden.

A classic tale  goes thus: There was a poor man with three daughters who were all of marriageable age. The family was too poor to afford the dowry, i.e,  a sum of money paid to the bridegroom by the bride’s family on the wedding day. One night, Nicholas secretly dropped a bag of gold down the chimney into the house. The bag fell into a stocking that had been hung to dry. This was done repeatedly until two daughters were married. The father was keen on finding out the secret well-wisher, decided to wait by the fireside. After a couple of days, he found out, when Nicholas was dropping another bag of gold for the third daughter to get married!

Nicholas begged the man not to let the secret out, as he did not want to bring attention to himself. But soon the news got out and whenever anyone in the small town got a secret gift, it was thought to be from St. Nicholas.

 With a long list in hand, each one of you is awaiting Santa and his gifts for you.

But how would it be if you were to be someone’s Santa, moved with compassion towards the needy?

Look through your tiny eyes for those who cannot afford a day’s meal and a good dress; or a classmate who cannot pay their fees on time. How about a visit to a neighbour who is sick in bed or a lonely uncle or aunt whose day could be brightened by your presence and a simple smile? Look for any instance when you can be of genuine help to someone, with little effort and its pain, all for the Lord’s sake!

By doing good deeds let us purify the talents that Jesus has given. 

As the clock ticks by faster towards Christmas, let us rush to make up our sole surroundings worthy to receive the Holy Lord. We pray that children who missed out or  failed to complete the advent activities to catch up sooner.

A bouquet of gratitude and special prayer of good fortune goes from Me, to all those who fulfilled or are still on the advent activities.

May the good God of KLWC, honor you with His Glory throughout your life.

 May the eternal joy and peace of Infant Jesus grant you wisdom and dutiful nature.

ADVENT ACTIVITIES

PART II

Dear Children in Christ,

Thanks for the overwhelming response to the last section. We hope and pray that you have succeeded in the preparing return gifts to our gracious Abba Father, who gifted us His only Beloved Son- Jesus Christ.

We have already stepped into the second week of advent and are eagerly waiting for the coming of the Savior. It’s a time to think about how to decorate the little crib as well as your little heart for the arrival of Baby Jesus.

To welcome Jesus, we need to clean the cobwebs and dust off the traces of jealousy, unwanted desires, laziness etc and make our hearts, our thoughts and ourselves ready for the King of this world.

For all those who took an effort in joining us for the advent activity; have already started penance for their little mischief and wrongdoings.

It would be proper to lend a thought towards our faithfulness in the day to day responsibilities as well as the promises taken before the Lord. Just as we unpack our last year’s box of decorations; let us similarly run our thoughts towards our spiritual growth. How much have I grown spiritually from the last Christmas? What all unwanted habits have I got rid off? Have I prayed daily? Sacrificed my small fancy desires to fulfill the requirements of a needy brother/ sister? Have I learnt to let go so that others too may win at times? What about the habit of destroying things? How about that laziness and disobedience which you had bid goodbye to last Christmas?

Do you feel dejected that you could not stand up to your promises? You tend to fail in your promises when you fail in prayer.

So buckle up!

Its only when you pray and try, that the good Lord will pour His Grace in abundance over you. His grace is a supernatural power that can see victory over all weakness and impossible situations. God’s merciful love overpowers the worldly powers, laziness, unwanted desires granting you strength and pleasantness at all times.

So during this second week of advent, do take some time out with utmost dedication to pray, and gain strength and courage to overcome all habits and bring back the lost hope. Be sure to obey your parents and help them in the festive preparations. As Christmas approaches, at every opportunity do good for your family and friends.

ADVENT ACTIVITIES

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for He has visited and redeemed His people….

We have already stepped into the concluding month of the year and are eagerly waiting Christmas. It’s that time of the year when you offer a small but the best place of your home for the Nativity.

This week we recommend that you vacate the area meant for the Holy Crib; after cleaning and making it spotless, place a basket or a hang a stocking.

You must be wondering why a basket or a stocking and not the crib?

Let us remind ourselves that our small home, our family and neighborhood are all to welcome the King of the World; So our preparations to are to greet and match His Royal Highness.

Sitting at the selected area, let us recite a small prayer: Abba Father, Creator of the earth we offer bouquets of Thanksgiving for this beautiful place to recreate the Nativity Scene in our humble home.

Now be seated near the basket and make a note of all your needs for this Christmas. It could vary from your personal shopping list, decorations, to small gifts for your friends, cousins, for the lonely neighbor. Now make a list of all those whom you would like to gift but are far away; make small prayers asking God to reach to them on your behalf. Let us also not forget those who have lost their near and dear ones and are in mourning during this season. Note down small prayers for all those who love you and also for those who dislike you.

Subsequently,  make a list of good deeds that you wish to do; it could be as small as sharing your belongings to those who are in need, or to forgo  yourself from all fancy desires or a small penance to make up for those times when disobedience and laziness overtook you. 

Through these acts of kindness, we would be preparing an infant set for all little new born girls and boys and offer it as a gift to our King, so that our generous Lord can distribute it to them throughout the world.

Dear children, can you imagine how many warm clothes would be required? There are so many needy ones in this world that only the Holy Lord can see through His generous Eyes and His Holy hands wish to gift and embrace them!

So start preparing yourself to weave and wrap as many as infant sets to gift the Royal King. 

Let us help you to get started:

Dear Lord Send many guardian angels to provide light, comfort, joy and peace to every newborn’s home.

Conclude the prayer with One Our Father, Hail Mary and a Glory Be.

Thank you Abba Father for this Joyous occasion- Christmas.

Thank you Mother Mary and St. Joseph for this beautiful gift of Christmas.

Little King Jesus, Prince of peace, we thank you; praise You; We worship You. Amen!
