THE PARABLE OF THE GROWING SEED

The Holy Bible says, “So, then, my brothers, try even harder to make God’s call and His choice of you a permanent experience; if you do so, you will never abandon your faith. In this way you will be given full right to enter the Eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 1:10-11)

Jesus went on to say, “The Kingdom of God is like this.  A man scatters seed in his field. He sleeps at night, is up and about during the day, and all the while the seeds are sprouting and growing.  Yet he does not know how it happens.  The soil itself makes the plants grow and bear fruit, first the tender stalk appears, then the ear, and finally the ear full of corn.  When the corn is ripe, the man starts cutting it with his sickle, because harvest time has come.” (Mark 4:26-29)

In this parable Lord Jesus said the seed is the Kingdom of God that resembles the Blessed Trinity and where there is His righteousness, one can enjoy the presence of Kingdom of God.  In His presence He announced the Kingdom of God is among us.  After the incarnation of Lord Jesus, people were enlightened with more heavenly knowledge of true God and the work of His Power. 

Though He was teaching and explaining how the Kingdom of God spreads and produces fruit, it is gift from God.  Man cannot grow a plant or produce fruit in a tree, all that he can do is only prepare the soil and spread the seeds, providing water and manure as per requirement.  The seed naturally sprouts and become a plant. 

Similarly a preacher or teacher can only give the Word of God.  The giver is not the one who produces fruit in the listener.  The Bible explains the power of the Word of God in St. Paul’s letter to Hebrews.  To make it clear Jesus pointed out in parables saying the sower sleeps at night and is up and about during the day, and all the while the seeds are sprouting and growing. 

Similarly, it is not the skill or talent of a man’s work but it is the Word of God which is alive and active.  When we read or hear the Word of God, the Lord is working and He proves that the Word of God is truly alive and active by performing healings and granting repentance, peace, unity and transformation in the lives of the listeners.  Here the sower waits patiently for the seed to sprout and produce fruit.

God clearly proves that “No farmer goes on constantly ploughing his fields and getting them ready for sowing.” 

Similarly Lord Jesus said “The Word of God which you heard or spoke will definitely produce the fruit of the Kingdom of God.”  “It is useless to work so hard for a living, getting up very early and going to bed late.  For the Lord provides for those He loves while they are asleep.”

So seek refuge in the Lord after you complete your responsibilities.

The preachers and givers must be ready to accept that if the listeners produce fruit it is the work of the right hand of God.  God attracts them through Jesus Christ – “If God wills, only then a farmer can reap the harvest.”  This should not misconstrued that a God’s servant should be lazy and give up hard work as how God does His part, His servant too has his share in preparing the field and sowing the Word of God. 

In short, God is the provider of all circumstances to grow freely.   It is our duty to give the Word of God to others.  Each one is called for His discipleship. That is the purpose and plan of God.

By this parable Lord Jesus tells us the like the farmer who waits patiently after sowing the seeds in the fields, we should also do our duty of giving the Word of God to others and wait patiently.  Do not be worried or tensed thinking about the fruit of your work rather just as God makes the seeds to sprout and grow to bear fruits, likewise it is the Word of God that will move the heart of the listeners and transform them.  

Just as after the plant has grown full the man collects the harvest, so also when the Word of God is sown throughout the world at the appropriate time God will send His angels to gather the harvest. 

So dear devotees of Christ, be joyful that you have been called to be a part in the Lord’s work and do not be worried thinking about the outcome of your work, rather diligently and sincerely do your duty and leave the rest to God, He will surely bless your work according to your efforts and as per His Divine plan.

A PRAYER

Dear Jesus, thank you for teaching us in a simple method to grasp deeply the secrets of the Kingdom of God. Awaken me to complete my duties on time and like a farmer, patiently await the fruits. Since the Kingdom of God is life in Holy Spirit so make me worthy to receive your Holy Spirit granting a love filled and righteous life to me and all. Amen!

MOTHER MARY

QUEEN OF THE ROSARY

“How can we forget our Blessed Mother who loves us so much and fills us with Her grace”

God manifests His love through various means in order to help us to realize that He continues to dwell with us until the end of time.  This realization of God as our Abba Father who cares for us at all times is the stipulation for one’s surrender to God’s Eternal Will.  In His teaching Lord Jesus has made this point very clear whenever He spoke about Father’s love and our relationship with Him.  By submitting ourselves to the Divine Will we can become holy and experience His abiding love. 

Like Jesus Christ, His Mother, Mary always stood for the Will of God.  She is the Mother who gives birth to the Holy Hope in our hearts-- not the hope of vain that transmits the good of this life, but also of the immense and eternal virtues of heaven.

St. Bernard interpreting Her words, adds, “All generations shall call You blessed because You have given life and glory to all nations for it is in You that sinners find pardon and just perseverance in the grace of God.”

In the first chapter of the Book of Genesis, we read that God created two great lights – a greater light to rule the day and a lesser light to rule the night.  (Gen 1:16). 

Some spiritual writers have suggested that Christ symbolizes the light of the world who rules in just; the moon the lesser light resembles Mary who enlightens those living in the darkness of sin. 

So Holy Mary is the auspicious luminary for the benefit of poor sinners.  Whoever is in the night of sin let him cast his eyes on the moon and let him implore Mother Mary.  As a mother, She understands the needs of her children and intercedes with God for our spiritual and temporal benefits.  It is not enough that we depend on Her when we need Her assistance, but we also have to imitate Her exemplary life as She lived a life of love, generosity and contentment.  Let us also try to live for others. 

During the month of October it is a custom among believers to venerate the Blessed Virgin by making a spiritual garland and presenting it to Her by praying the Rosary.

An act for the day:

Jesus taught Martha when she was reluctant over His command of rolling the stone away that covered Lazarus’ tomb, saying to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the Glory of God?” (John 11:38-40)

Through this total SURRENDER and BELIEF, everyone witnessed a miracle that revealed His Glory, at that moment of a family crisis.

Let us today offer a HOLY ROSARY in total surrender and belief for the peace and unity among our families!

LIFE IN FULLNESS

PART II

God says, "I Will give them a new heart, I will instill a new Spirit. I will remove     their stony heart and give them an obedient heart." (Ezek 11:19)

When my Lord entered in me and healed my soul and anointed me with a new oil which kept on increasing my faith and strengthened my physical activities more easily, though I had weak spinal cord and many complications. Timely advice and encouragement of my spiritual guru (teacher) provided mental strength and firmness in my decision. 

The Spirit of the Lord gave me the proper realization that Christ saved me, so I have to serve and truly follow his steps. I buried all my past and planted new seed of Word of God on it. My heart and mind became hollow while I started praying for persons whom I encountered in my life.

 As the days passed, God inspired me to pray for all those who are bedridden and then He took me to see the pathetic stage of the world and the young generation.

I lifted up the above tragedy and kept weeping secretly along with the Savior. 

Then Rosary and praises adorned my lips all throughout. Giving thanks to the Lord is one of the most joyful sessions in my life. I gained lot of Spiritual nutrition to grow more and more in the Word of God. Holy Spirit provided the wisdom and His fruits and karism transformed me to the “the Fire of God”. 

The Lord observed me and found I was mature enough to be polished and used. I underwent polishing under His consent.

As a thief, hardships came from four sides to rob the Lord from me, I had given away everything except for my LORD. 

Those who were initially happy and supportive, gradually led into the thorny barriers of insults, rejections, disapproval, sheer hardships and persecutions. Constant omens were thrown to me from all my near and dear ones. 100 percent whom I trusted turned back and troubled me.

 The Bible says, “Who then, can separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble do it or hardships or persecution or hunger or poverty or danger or death? NO!!! In all this things we have complete victory through Him who loved us.” (Rom. 8:35)

 So I am certain till today, dear ones, nothing can separate us because the love of God is ours through Christ! Amen!

I started praying and forgiving them and ignored their deeds. Then, I concentrated more on my dedication and spent more time reading Holy Bible, that as a good weapon, repeatedly confessing, that the double edged sword --- the Word of God. 

Do not let the devil defeat you, Instead conquer evil with good deeds as a servant of God, is to be faithful to his Master. Meditating these words, I observed strict discipline to be crowned that will last forever. Our message is that God was making all mankind his friends through Christ. He did not keep an account of their sins. So I say forgive and pray for them.

So this is the hour to receive Gods favor, today is the day to be saved. Try not to put obstacles in anyone’s way. Instead in everything we do, we show that we are Gods servants by patiently enduring troubles hardships and difficulties. We have “Righteousness” as our weapon, both to attack and to defend ourselves. So let us open our hearts wide, which we ourselves have closed. 

How can right and wrong be partners? How can light and darkness live together? How can Christ and devil agree? How can Gods temple come to terms with pagan idols?

God has promised that He will make his Home with His people and live among them. I will be their God and they are my people. 

Holy God clears that, nothing to do with unclean which He cannot accept.

So then dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that makes our body and soul unclean and be completely Holy by living in the awe of God.

CONCLUSION PRAYER

Abba Father, since I have accepted Jesus your Son, as my Lord and Savior. I wish to live in union with Christ. I accepted Him as the cornerstone and want to build my life on him. I confess that my Lord is supreme over every spiritual rulers and authorities. Strengthen and deepen my faith so that I can crush and throw away all worthless defeat of human wisdom from ruling spirit of the universe. Do not allow, I pray, anything to enslave me. Make my heart fleshy so that I can forgive everyone I encounter in my life, as you have forgiven all my wrongdoing completely.

Thank you my Abba father, for being kind enough to save me. In Jesus’ name I forgive ____, I forgive____, I forgive____. Pardon me and have mercy on me. Anoint me to proclaim the truth that God invites you and is waiting for you preparing a special banquet and a big home that is full of righteousness. Yes, Lord whatever I do here all such things are only a shadow of things in the future. Yes, Jesus  You are the reality. Under Christ’s control, my body is nourished and held together by its joints and ligaments and it grows as per Gods command.

 In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

                                                 SPECIAL DELIVERANCE PRAYER:

We drive you from us whoever you may be, unclean spirit, all satanic powers, all wicked legions, in the name and by the power of our Lord Jesus. The Most High God commands you, Son of God commands you, God the Holy Spirit commands you, stop deceiving human creatures and pouring out to them the poison of eternal damnation. Stop harming the church and hindering her liberty. Amen! Halleluiah!

“God arises, his enemies are scattered and those who hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so are they driven, as wax melts before the fire, so the wicked perish at the presence of God.”

THE ROSARY

Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Dominic, “One day through the Rosary and the Scapular, I will save the World”

The Prayer of “The Rosary” is most appropriate even of the families, as it is for individuals. The Rosary is the appropriate pattern recommended even by Virgin Mary to establish firm and better family relationships.

            The strength of the family depends upon the unity of the family members. “The family, which prays together, stays together”. Lord descends in the family to unite them as they gather together to pray. 

The Rosary today exists as powerful armor and the rock of refuge for the success of evangelisation. When we faithfully recite the Rosary, it is the incarnation of the son of God, his sufferings, passion, death, resurrection and other important events of the salvation history and the major life instances Virgin Mother who cooperated to this mighty will, which passes through our memories. Hence the prayer of the Rosary is centralized around Christ and based upon the Holy Bible.

            It is when all the People of the community pray together numerous blessings begin to shower upon them. Prayer should be done clearly, proper concentration and with fear of God. It is parent’s responsibility to teach their children to say prayers eloquently. It is always fruitful if we could invite the Holy Spirit and ask his guidance before we begin our Rosary.

The words of Dr. Thomas Acquambis are worth considering…

“When we pray the Rosary, the Heaven Rejoices,  

Those on Earth are amazed,

Satan disappears,

The Doors of Abyss trembles,

All the sorrows vanish away,

The mind regains its calmness and joy,

Hope becomes alive,

The spirit gains tranquility,

Miraculous comfort and protection overwhelms the person completely.”

            The Savior of the world who changed plain water to pure wine at the request of divine Mother will definitely honor and bless those who faithful to his Mother. Hence by standing aloof from the senseless, we shall keep our holy faith stain free. By sincerely praying the Rosary every day we shall flourish in the faith towards our Mother.

Here I would like to share one among numerous blessings I received through Rosary. Being a member of a Catholic Family I am enthusiastic about devotion to Mother Mary.

 On 1^st May 1991, around 8 am as I sat reciting Novena and Rosary, My Lords Love filled in me and I felt so light as if I was lifted up high. My heart and my entire body were burning as if I was melting in a Furnace. Unknowingly I began to praise my lord and my tongue started twisting some different manner and my tears were overflowing continually for hours. Later on I came to understand, through Mother Mary I am blessed with gift of tongue and My Lord embraced me with his burning love.

Praise the Lord!

Blessed Mother always interceding for her devotees! I can assure you, with Rosary you can change the face of your life. By faithfully standing under the banner of love of this holly mother we can obtain the Glorious victory over the evil forces of the world.
