LIFE IN HOLY SPIRIT

“Your life in Christ makes you strong and His love comforts you.  You have fellowship with the Spirit, and you have kindness and compassion for one another.”  (Phil 2:1)

                                                                LOVE

Thousands of years ago, Prophet Isaiah got prior information about a mighty King.

“Those who live in darkness have seen a great light. For those who live in a land of shadow, light has been shone on them. A child is born to us, a Son that breaks the yoke that burdened them and the rod that beat their shoulders. He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father and Prince of Peace. His Kingdom will always be at peace.”

Being a worldly sculptor, He is indeed not only the Prince of Peace but also the Royal King. His Majesty never sought to establish His Divine Authority by acquiring weapons of authority; neither did He illustrate any kingly splendor and majesty. Instead He spread the message that ‘authority’ is ‘service and with the resounding echo of peace He chose to tread the untrodden path among us the ordinary people.

Demonstrating the path of humbleness and submissiveness, the King of Kings imparted justice and mercy to those who were deprived of it. He wiped the tears of the sorrowful, the labourers, the toiler and poor. His compassion and love for mankind is immeasurable, as Christ the King Himself carried our sins in His body to the Cross so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness.

“It is by His wounds that you have been healed.”  (1 Pet. 2:25)

“Men despised and rejected Him. He endured suffering and pain. No one would even look at Him—man ignored Him as if He were nothing.” (Isaiah 53:3)

He was not abandoned in the world of the dead. His body did not rot in the grave.  God has raised this very Jesus from the dead.  He has been ascended to heaven and seated at the right hand of His Father.

Prior to his ascension, Christ Jesus instructed his disciples, “You must wait in the city in prayer until the power from above comes down upon you.”(Luke 24)

The day of Pentecost came, the believers all gathered and then the Heavenly bestowed Holy Spirit transformed them.  They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to talk in other languages as the Spirit enabled them to speak.

Through the previous articles, you have gained knowledge of the Holy Spirit, which is a gift from God for our salvation. The Word of God thoroughly states that one must not be satisfied only with the experience but by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we have to produce gifts and charisms in our life.

Lord Jesus said, “….no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and spirit.”  (John 3 : 5)

The Kingdom of God refers to a life of righteousness, peace and joy imparted by the Holy Spirit.  So let us meditate and attain in -depth knowledge about the works of the Holy Spirit. I hope this teaching will help you to analyze whether the Spirit is truly leading us or not.

The spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self -control.

LOVE:
The Bible says “God is love.  Whoever loves is a child of God.”
 (1 John 4: 8)

Being filled with love is a natural process for a person who maintains his relationship with God. Those who love God will be gifted by the Holy Spirit, who instills God’s Love into our lives. Accepting Lord and leading a life in union with Him enables us to open the door to the Holy Spirit. When we grow in Jesus Christ, St. Paul’s witness bears true in us, “who then can separate us from the love of Christ, who is pleading with God for us even today and forever.”

Dear ones in Christ, May the Holy Spirit bestow His light into you to understand the Truth.

How broad and long, how high and deep is Christ’s love.  Let’s pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love.  No troubles, no hardships, no poverty or persecutions, there is nothing in this entire creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God, which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.  We all know that Jesus died for our sins to make us sane. So let’s recognize that one sinless man died for everyone, makes us realize that we all share in His death and reminds us to live for Him.

Lord Jesus taught us by saying to his disciples, “…………. And I give you a new commandment.  Love one another as I have loved you.  So you must love one another.  He continues explaining to them, “if you do so everyone will know that you are My disciple’.  Being in fellowship with God, He is instructing us to apply this law.

Being born of human parents, it is not easy for us to practice this instruction.
It is said in the Old Testament that “The parents ate the sour grapes, but the children got the sour taste.” To remove the iniquities of the parents, Lord God sent His Son and the Holy Spirit as a medicine.” So take the Holy Spirit abundantly so as to be filled with the Love of God.

The Sovereign Lord says, “I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts.  I will be their God and they will be my people.(Jer. 31:33)

The Holy Spirit pours out Love in us which are the completion of God’s law.

The Holy Bible says, “For the spirit that God has given does not make us timid. Instead His spirit fills us with power, love and self control.  The stream of God’s love is Holy Spirit and God Himself gives Him and teaches to love one another.”
(1 Thess. 4 : 8-9)
