PROVERBS 16

We may make our plans, but God has the last word.
You may think everything you do is right, but the Lord judges your motives.
Ask the Lord to bless your plans, and you will be successful in carrying them out.
Everything the Lord has made has its destiny; and the destiny of the wicked is destruction.
The Lord hates everyone who is arrogant; He will never let them escape punishment.

Be loyal and faithful, and God will forgive your sin.  Obey the Lord and nothing evil will happen to you.
When you please the Lord, you can make your enemies into friends.
It is better to have a little, honestly earned, than to have a large income gained dishonestly.
You may make your plans, but God directs your actions.

The king speaks with divine authority; his decisions are always right.
The Lord wants weights and measures to be honest and every sale to be fair.
Kings cannot tolerate evil, because justice is what makes a government strong.
A king wants to hear the truth and will favour those who speak it.
A wise man will try to keep the king happy; if the king becomes angry, someone may die.
The king’s favour is like the clouds that bring rain in the springtime – life is there.

It is better – much better – to have wisdom and knowledge than gold and silver.
Those who are good travel a road that avoids evil; so watch where you are going – it may save your life.
Pride leads to destruction, and arrogance to downfall.
It is better to be humble and stay poor than to be one of the arrogant and get a share of their loot.
Pay attention to what you are taught, and you will be successful; trust in the Lord and you will be happy.

A wise, mature person is known for his understanding.  The more pleasant his words, the more persuasive he is.
Wisdom is a fountain of life to the wise, but trying to educate stupid people is a waste of time.
Intelligent people think before they speak; what they say is then more persuasive.
Kind words are like honey – sweet to the taste and good for your health.
What you think is the right road may lead to death.

A laborer’s appetite makes him work harder, because he wants to satisfy his hunger.
Evil people look for ways to harm others; even their words burn with evil.
Gossip is spread by wicked people; they stir up trouble and break up friendships.
Violent people deceive their friends and lead them to disaster.
Watch out for people who grin and wink at you; they have thought of something evil.

Long life is the reward of the righteous; grey hair is a glorious crown.
It is better to be patient than powerful.  It is better to win control over yourself than over whole cities.
Men cast lots to learn God’s will, but God Himself determines the answer.

May the Lord bless you and take care of you. May He be kind and gracious to you. May the Lord look on you with favour and give you peace.

With love filled blessings,
Your Sister in Christ

THE PROPHET’S TASK

Do two men start travelling together without arranging to meet?
Does a lion roar in the forest unless he has found a victim?
Does a young lion growl in his den unless he has caught something?
Does a bird get caught in a trap if the trap has not been baited?
Does a trap spring unless something sets it off?
Does the war trumpet sound in a city without making the people afraid?
Does disaster strike a city unless the Lord sends it?
The Sovereign Lord never does anything without revealing His plans to his servants, the prophets.
When a lion roars, who can avoid being afraid?
When the Sovereign Lord speaks, who can avoid proclaiming his message?

(Amos 3:3-8)

This is the Word of Lord
Thanks be to the God

May the Lord bless you and take care of you. May He be kind and gracious to you. May the Lord look on you with favor and give you peace.

With love filled blessings,

Your Sister in Christ

THE HAPPINESS OF A GOOD PERSON

PSALMS 112

Praise the Lord!
Happy is the person who honors the Lord,
who takes pleasure in obeying His commands.
The good man’s children will be powerful in the land;
his descendants will be blessed.
His family will be wealthy and rich,
and he will be prosperous for ever.

Light shines in the darkness for good men,
for those who are merciful, kind, and just.
Happy is the person who is generous with his loans,
who runs his business honestly.
A good person will never fail;
he will always be remembered.

He is not afraid of receiving bad news;
his faith is strong, and he trusts in the Lord.
He is not worried or afraid;
he is certain to see his enemies defeated.
He gives generously to the needy,
and his kindness never fails;
he will be powerful and respected.
The wicked see this and are angry;
they glare in hate and disappear;
their hopes are gone for ever.

LET’S BE AWAKE AND SOBER

The Holy Bible says, “Submit to God, resist the devil and he will run away from you.”  (Jam 4: 7)
PART II
Click here for the earlier part

Dear devotees of Christ, consider yourself a blessing if you have accepted Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord; filled with His supreme power of the Holy Spirit and venerated Him at the center of your heart. After being cleansed, the Holy Spirit will begin to work in you, giving you timely inspiration to lead a disciplined and orderly life. He will illustrate you a quite place and time that can be designated to the Lord in communication. The Holy Spirit will lead you in progress thus attaining tremendous heights of peace and joy.

Be sure to memorize that just as God’s mercy are sprinkled so also are the temptations scattered everywhere.
It is essential to remind ourselves that Jesus too was tested by the evil spirit after the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Jesus resisted him with the Word of God. Though the devil left Him; it is mentioned in the Holy Bible, ‘the satan left Him for a while.’

Similarly, the owner of those old evil habits that you abandoned due to True repentance is always on the lookout to capture you again. Unable to admit failure, it is the devil’s grudge and aim to harm those who threw him out. We often come across people who are unable to accept their mistakes and maintain grudge and anger to harm those who correct them.

The satan that left Jesus in the wilderness, always did try to capture Him through the Pharisees and Teachers of the Law. When the time came for Jesus to be handed over to the power of the world, satan re-entered through His own disciple Judas Iscariot. (John 6:70)

The Holy Scriptures indicates the return of the devil with seven more badly than him.

If we go through the Light of the Holy Word it mentions a woman, Mary Magdalene from whom seven devils were cast out; she resisted the devil and went on to be Jesus’ constant follower, observing the Crucifixion with the Lord’s Mother.  She was blessed to be the first to witness and converse with the Risen Lord.

Similarly, in the Gospel of Mark the devil himself confesses that ‘there are so many of us’. (5:9)

Lord Jesus rebuked and cast out all the evil spirits, proving His power and authority; so that whoever believes in Him need not fear the power of the world.

In the Holy Bible, the number ‘seven’ is a symbol of completion and perfection. While the devil traps you with his seven destroyers, the Holy Spirit anoints our life with His seven wonderful gifts.

It is important to correct oneself  at the  on start of the evil trap be it a small white lie or a casual disobedience; or else these habits may grow to more serious and cruel deeds. The satan throws in all his perishable and poisonous pleasures and turning him/her to a murderer or destroyer of the world. One of his worst natures is cheating and deceiving each other. When you do evil, sin is crouching at your door.

So let us be alert and control our life from the lust of eyes, body and pride. The devil is always in action capturing the number, power and spreading wickedness in all its fullness, as he knows he has very little time left. (Rev 12:12).

Lord Jesus said through the parable that those who are not ready to repent and have a stagnant life will advance to such tragedy, that they will be thrown in the lake of fire and sulphur along with satan.

When our actions are accurate in the sight of God, the joy that radiates will be relevant on our face. St. Paul, undoubtedly declared that human race has the power of victory over the demons as he wrote in his letter to the Romans (16:20),’God our source of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.’

It is prudent to resist the entry of devil into your life. He blinds us to our numerous blessings through discontentment, throwing our attention to others and their prosperity, spinning a web of aloofness; striking the flame of enmity between your dear and true ones who flourished your life with prosperity.

If you have shared your heart with evil some you will turn a deaf ear to the Voice of God.

Turn to the Savior Lord Jesus and the Merciful Lord will pardon and save you, and He says, ‘I will never leave you; I will never abandon you. So let us be bold and say the Lord is my Helper, I will not be afraid what can anyone do to me?’ (Hebrews 13).

The Holy Bible says, “They will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil who had caught them and made them obey his will.”  (2 Timothy 2:26)

Dear ones in Christ, you may consider that it is impossible to overcome temptations. But it is possible when you lead a life in union with Christ, filling your heart with His constant love; and shielding your thoughts, deeds and speech with God’s love and fear.

Though we do not belong to this world, yet there would be tendencies to fall into the trap but as an ardent believer of Christ we all must be aware of the devil and its tricky nature.

Blessed are those whose journey on this earth is steady and union with the Blessed Trinity.

Even when you go through a mountain of suffering, be sure that Christ is leading you. Accept the rejections and insults for the sake of God and even if you fall through weakness, pray with greater determination to rise in good spiritual and physical health. Fight like a good soldier for the Kingdom of God.

Pray as the Lord taught, “Do not bring us to the hard testing but keep us safe from the evil one.”

Keep your soul always shining; let your peaceful life be an inspiration for others to overcome their anxiety, fear and desperation.  Never argue or boast about your faith - especially to those who abandoned and wandered from true faith.  You may encounter many such people, so guard your faith as the only treasure which can reach you to your goal.  Pray to God for His grace that you may avoid sin.

St. Peter warns us, “Be alert, be on watch, your enemy the devil roams round like a roaring lion for someone to devour.”  (1 Peter 5:8)  While St. Peter warns, , St. Paul advises us, “Be alert against the devil putting on the armor that God gives you so that you will be able to stand up against the devil’s evil tricks”  (Eph. 6 : 11).

Whoever calls for safety of Lord under His protection can achieve victory over the devil.

Lord Jesus has given us an example to use the Word of God like burning arrows to shoot against the devil, so when you confess the Word of God against it, your temptations will be powerless and disappear.

Confessing your faith in Christ will help win over evil thoughts.  The one who believes in the Name and power of Jesus can overcome the tricks of the devil.

The God whom you trust says to you, “He will crush the head of satan.”  When the Lord is your refuge you need not fear the wicked spirit.

Let us imitate Job, who succeeded his faith test, confessing “His hands will kill the escaping monster.”  (Job 26: 13).

Lord Jesus has given His power and authority over the evil to His disciples and believers when He declared, “Believers will be given the power to drive out demons in His Name.”  (Mark 16 :17)

St. Paul says to the people who abandon their faith, “I am surprised at you! In no time at all you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are accepting another gospel.”  (Galatians 1: 6).

St. Peter wrote about those who turn to sin again, “If the people have escaped from the corrupting forces of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Son Jesus Christ and then are again caught and conquered by them, such people are in a worse state at the end than they were at the beginning.  What happens to them shows that the proverbs are true – a dog goes back to what it has vomited  and a pig that has been washed goes back to roll in the mud.” (2 Peter 2: 20-22)

Never get discouraged dear ones.  Lord Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and Deliverer; also a High Priest who can wash us once again and accept us.   Whoever holds out to the end will be saved.

Let’s all pray together to keep our faith alive by not restraining the Holy Spirit and also do not despise inspired messages.  The Holy Bible says, “Pray at all times, be joyful and be grateful to God in all circumstances - favorable or unfavorable.  Avoid every kind of evil – be it great or small.

Things may change, life may change, surroundings will change, people around will change, but your Lord who called you never changes, would never forsake you, because He is a Faithful God.  Amen.

Reciting few prayer beads like the below will spiritually increase your zest to grow in the goodness.
‘Jesus, meek and humble heart, be my love’,
‘My Lord, my God, I love and trust in You’,
‘Soul of Christ sanctify my soul’

Give assurance to your mind – I prefer death than disobeying God.

With love filled blessings,

Your Sister in Christ

GOD THE KING
PSALMS 93
The Lord is king.
He is clothed with Majesty and strength
The earth is set firmly in place and cannot be moved.
Your throne, O Lord, has been firm from the beginning,
and You existed before time began.

The ocean depths raise their voice, O Lord;
They raise their voice and roar.
The Lord rules supreme in heaven,
greater than the roar of the ocean,
more powerful than the waves of the sea.

Your laws are eternal, Lord,
and Your Temple is holy indeed,
for ever and ever.

A NEW NAME

PART II

My dear friend, I pray that everything may go well with you and you may be in good health --
as I know you are well in spirit. (3 John : 2)

Click here for the earlier part.

When God stretches His hands to bless you, your family too will attain His grace and be blessed through you.

As the Holy Bible says, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved- you and your family.” (Acts 16:31)

When Abraham believed in God’s covenant; his family too was blessed.

Similarly, when Jacob was staying with his father-in-law, the Almighty God blessed Laban and all that he had in abundance.
When Jacob was ready to leave his house, Laban said to him, “Let me say this: I have learnt by divination that the Lord has blessed me because of you.” (Genesis 30:27)
Laban was amazed to see the miraculous prosperity he achieved through Jacob.

Are you lamenting? Is poverty rampant in your family? Are you in bed of tears due to sickness? Are you broken hearted?

Do not lose hope, the Lord who blessed Laban for the sake of Jacob, will surely bless your family for your sake.

Dear young children, always remember that you can be the source of your family’s prosperity. Do regularly ask the Lor d to place His hands upon you, and enjoy the bountiful blessings that will flow into you and submerge your family members too.

It is a noble act to receive blessings from your parents too; dear parents, make it a practice to lay your hands upon your children while blessing them; couples in the family too can lay their hands and bless one another. This small but dignified act will surround your family with the Supreme Love and unity of God and aid you to experience the peace of God. Almighty Lord will bless parents, to be proud of your children, while they learn to remain in love and loyalty to you.

As you experience the hand of God over you, His blessing will follow and reflect in your daily life. Be it the people around you or the workplace. Your superiors will be blessed, as God brings prosperity to your work.

Let us reach out to the Holy Bible where it mentions about a young man Joseph, whose brothers had plotted against him and had him thrown into a dry well to die. Joseph was pious and he loved God dearly and faithfully. The Lord in turn blessed him and he prospered in all that he did. God blessed the Egyptians for the sake of his servant Joseph.

As mentioned earlier, there was a stage in my life when I had to sacrifice my family, my home and everything I possessed in this life in the light of the Holy Gospel.

All those brothers and sisters, who helped me sincerely during those days, have been and still being blessed abundantly by Lord. Broken families were rejoined, sick with good health; those who were jobless were blessed with good jobs and are in high positions today. Peace and joy were showered immeasurably.

Dear devotees, I can assure you that the Lord who blessed those who sheltered God’s chosen daughter, will surely bless, sanctify and uphold your family.

God who blessed whole of Egypt through a slave, will surely bless your place of work and all your colleagues.

Almighty God who blessed Laban through Jacob, will surely prosper you and your family members.

With the Divine Hands upon you, no curses will touch you. The fear of curses from your ancestors will vanish in his Precious Blood.

Once the Israelites camped in the plain Moab and Balak the King of Moab was terribly afraid of those people. He sent his people to Baalam the prophet to curse the Israelites. Balaam was confused and looked at the Lord. The Lord said Balaam “Do not go with these men and do not put a curse on the people of Israel, because they have my blessing” (Numbers 22:12)

Again the king took Balaam to another place to curse the Israelites once again Balaam looked at Lord and after receiving the command of God he said “I have been instructed to bless, and when God blesses I cannot call it back”. “I  forsee that Israel’s future will bring her no misfortune or trouble the Lord their God is with them”. (Numbers 23:20-21).

Yes if you are under the blessing of God and give due reverence, no curse or evil can afflict you and also your ancestors debts will also be cleared through your blessings.

Let us pray
Jesus, King of the family, sent your Holy Spirit upon each family of this world to bring peace and forgiveness among us to eradicate the brokenness and weakness of  our soul, mind and body, bondage of hereditary curses, debts and illness especially psychological disorders.

Mother Mary Queen of the Family, send your holy legion that under your command and by your power, they may pursue the evil spirit, resist their bold attacks and drive them into the abyss of eternal home. Amen!

CHRISTEEN SECTION

Duties to parents

“Never seek honor for yourself at your father’s expense; it is not to your credit if he is dishonored. Your own honor comes from the respect that you show to your father. If children do not honor their mothers, it is their own disgrace. My son, take care of your father when he grows old; give him no cause for worry as long as he lives. Be sympathetic even if his mind fails him; don’t look down on him just because you are strong and healthy. The Lord will not forget the kindness you showed to your father; it will help you to make up for your sins. When you are in trouble, the Lord will remember your kindness and will help you; your sins will melt away like frost in warm sunshine. Whoever abandons his parents or gives them cause for anger may as well be cursing the Lord; he is already under the Lord’s curse. (Sirach 3:10-16)

A LIFE IN THE LIGHT

PART II

The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has never put it out. (John 1:5)

Click here for the earlier part

The Holy Bible says “Be alert, be on the watch! Your enemy, the devil roams round like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”(1 Peter 5:8)

The Lord is God and He is so good to us; It is normal that whoever belongs to God would be often attacked by the worldly people and its power. The devil aims to cut off our relationship with the Divine Lord; continuously shattering our attempts to lead a holy life, so that he can succeed in pushing us deep down into hell.

His sharpest and most successful weapon to cause distress, hopelessness etc, in our life would be to influence us through our loved and trusted ones.
The very example that would befit this: Judas giving in easily to the devil’s trap to betray His Master Jesus for 30 silver coins. He ended losing the presence of God and been thrown into the valley of darkness.

If you have been a recipient and witnessed His mighty blessings, it is noteworthy to humble yourselves under God’s Mighty Hand, stand firm in your faith all the while resisting the devil having nothing to do with the worthless things, leaving all your burdens and worries unto Him who cares for you. If you succeed in doing this, God in His Mercy will uplift you

The Philistines army had gathered in a large numbers to fight against Israel, when David was king.

He humbled himself before the Holy presence and inquired God if he should proceed with the battle. God answered him not to go straight  but to circle them and get ready to attack them from the balsam trees. The Holy Lord further instructed them to advance quickly when the sound of marching could be heard from the tree-tops for that’s when God would go ahead of David to defeat the Philistines.

Though David had won many battles, yet He would not boast himself.
Every time David would humble himself before preparing for a battle by going to the feet of the Lord and enquired the Will of God by asking: “Lord, shall I go against the Philistines?” and God responded with instructions and commands to lead him to victory.

Lord our protector expects the same humbleness and willingness to seek His will, from us. Crafting us as a source of His blessing He bestows His Supreme and Divine Power, to others.

If you were a person witnessing God and His miracles, healings occurred through you but feel that you have now stagnated in your fruits, take some time out to think if you have taken refuge in your own strength, gradually forgetting the presence and power of God that was the source of your honor. Cause that’s when you meet failures, after striving hard, yet yield no fruits and yourself begin to turn against to blame God the Almighty.

Dear devotees in Christ, when the Lord blesses you abundantly granting you victory in all your endeavors, make it your aim to be more polite and honor God; move closer and listen to His voice instructing you to divert your path towards the Holy Salvation. Be a refugee in God, stand firm in your faith so as to follow Him.

The Holy Bible initiates us not to do anything with a selfish ambition or a cheap desire to boast.

Though Christ Jesus had the nature of God, He did not think that by force He should try to become equal with God instead with His own free will He gave up all He had and took the nature of a servant; He became like men and appeared in human likeness. He was humble and walked the path of obedience all the way to His death on the cross; because of this reason God raised Him to the highest place above and gave Him the name greater than any other; in order that in honor of the name of Jesus all beings in heaven, on earth and in the world below will fall on their knees and all will openly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father.

He taught us to pray for the people who ill-treat us; also He made known to us that the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

The Holy Bible says, only the person who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God can defeat the world.

So let us keep on acknowledging our faith, confessing Jesus, ‘My Lord, who is the Son of God’, and then we can win victory over the world by means of our faith.

May the light of the Lord Jesus protect you from the storms of destruction and be with you forever. Amen!

With Love Filled Blessings,

Your Sister in Christ

A LIFE IN THE LIGHT

PART I

The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has never put it out. (John 1:5)

Our life gets completely transformed in a twinkle of a moment when the power of the Lord dispels darkness around our life to flood it with His divine light.

“We know that we belong to God even though the whole world is under the rule of the evil one.” (1 John 5:19)

The devil, our adversary, is always standing against us prowling like a roaring lion; so it is very essential that we should completely put our refuge on Lord Jesus so as to walk in His light constantly.  Our life within Him will be a path that leads us to our salvation.

Here we mention certain incidences on how darkness enters people.

On a Sabbath Day Jesus went into a Synagogue, where He saw a man whose right hand was paralyzed.  Some teachers of the Law and Pharisees wanted a reason to accuse Jesus of doing wrong so they watched him closely to see if He would heal on the Sabbath. Jesus knew their thoughts and said to the man, “Stand up and come here to the front.” The man got up and stood there.  Then Jesus said to them “I ask you: What does our Law allow us to do on the Sabbath? To help or to harm?  To save a man’s life or destroy it?” He looked around at them all; then He said to the man “Stretch out your hand” he did so and his hand became well again.

They were filled with rage and began to discuss among themselves what they could do to Jesus. (Luke 6:6-11)

The above holy verses from the Scriptures indicate how the Pharisees and the Teachers of the Law emit out the enmity and jealousy, a reflection of the darkness that had captured them; and their futile attempts to put off the source of Light of Life i.e. Jesus Christ.

If we sincerely and with true devotion read or listen to the Word of God, He graciously endows us with His power and presence which conveys the Heavenly Light to shine bright in our surroundings.

The Word of God, when studied with sincere veneration and dedication will fill us with the discernment to distinguish amid the false and deceptive teachings. Being the Source of Life, it penetrates deep into our hearts imparting True Knowledge of our Lord. It was this knowledge that made the Pharisees insecure and jealous towards Christ.

Even today, there are many among us who spread false teachings combined with wrong principles and theories, misleading people from the message of Salvation, thus preventing them from attaining further spiritual growth, blessings and the fruits of Salvation. Ultimately, those in search of faith, fall into such traps due to their lack of knowledge in the True Word of God.

Jesus summed up the traps set up by such people, when He said, “How wrong you are it is because you don’t know the scripture of God’s power.” (Mathew 22: 29)

Engulfed in such dark theories would further pave the way for imbalance and procrastination of spiritual duties leading to diminishing the presence of God and His illumination.

Regular studying and meditating of the Word of God will enhance your mind with Divine Knowledge and light, keeping you away from the trap of wrong teachings and ideas.

During my public mission, there would be a flow of prayer requests and thanksgivings of people who would share their joy of blessings received. Amidst this overwhelming joy, there would be few comments and instructions that were against my teachings.  Deep in my heart, the contentment from the fact that God was pleased with me did not shake me. But as the frequency of those false accusations increased, my peace and health began bothering and soon some disturbance also crept into my prayer life. Soon the devil began to slowly try his chance on me, with sickness and unnecessary worries. But through the Work of the Holy Spirit, I kept aside a day of Fast and Prayer dedicated to those who were not in the favor of KLWC. Lord God comforted me, “My dear daughter why are you worrying and thinking about those who are against you.”

He poured out His Holy Spirit and made me realize that those who were scandalizing me were not from God but it was the work of the devil in disguise. Once again tranquility filled my ached heart, while the healing from the Lord departed all the aches and pains. Alleluia!! Alleluia!!
I cried out to the Lord in pardon while He in response delivered me and showered His blessings upon me!

When you begin to lose the presence of God, physical illness like fatigue, weariness, guilt begins to creep into your life burdening you further with serious health issues.

A  FAMILY THAT SACRIFICES IN THE
 LIGHT OF GOSPEL
The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He frustrates the plans of the people. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.  (Psalms 33:10-11)
PART II

For the earlier part click here

Dear sisters, there are some obligatory duties that God considers essential for a wife. If you obey the Will of God wholeheartedly, without seeking your own desires or pursuing your path of liking, then you are sure to obtain happiness.

Let us turn our attention towards the Book of Genesis in the Holy Bible.

The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to live alone, I will make a suitable companion to HELP him." (Gen 2:18) “The man named all the birds and all the animals; but not one of them was a suitable companion to help him." (Gen. 2:20)

Filled with compassion for man’s loneliness, God put him into a deep sleep. While he was asleep, He took out one of the man's ribs and closed up the flesh. He formed a woman out of the rib and brought her to him (Gen. 2: 21-22)

He was amazed to see the new creature. He named his companion as 'woman'.

From the above-said verse we come to know that the woman was made for man as a suitable helper for him. Many have mistaken the above-said scripture portion and think that every individual woman is to be totally submissive to man. ‘To do the work of a maid-servant for man’ this is the thought impregnated in the minds of many people.

But the Lord God through His creation gives equal honor and respect to both.

So that woman may rule over her husband the Lord God did not take the bone from the man's head. Similarly, to be crushed and stamped over by the husband, the Lord God did not create the wife from the bone of his feet. To grant equality, the Loving Father gave form to man’s companion by taking the bone from the middle of his body. Through this God reveals the great mystery in the impartial God's creation and equal weight and value, honour and respect to both.

‘The husband is the focal point. My desires are like the soap bubbles in water. I am only his helper. What is there for me?'

Such thoughts impregnated in numerous minds have to be uprooted as there is a great value for the position of a 'helper'. 'Helper' does not put one down or devaluate it.

In the Kingdom of God, a helper has an honored and highly valuable position. Perhaps the society may give importance to those in authority and highly placed and is a normal practice to degrade those in the position of a helper. This race of competition and taking advantage of one's freewill is not acceptable in the Will of God. If the works (ideas) of a helper serves to control the community, then similar to his works a helper is also of importance.

"One who loves his life will lose it, but he who loses his life for other will gain it." (Jn.12: 25)

Unless we meaningfully fulfil His Word of God a married life based on the Holy Scriptures is not possible. We must abandon totally the crooked ways of fulfilling our selfish desires.

A capable wife gets up early in the morning, surrenders herself and her husband at the feet of the Lord. By seeking the Will of God and being filled with God's power she begins her work. The Holy Bible states how a capable wife ought to be. Through her, the plans specified by God for that family will be successfully fulfilled.

"How hard it is to find a capable wife!  She is worth far more than jewels! Her husband puts his confidence in her, and he will never be poor.  As long as she lives, she does him good and never harm... She gets up before daylight to prepare food for her family and to tell her servant-girls what to do..... She is generous to the poor and needy.... Her husband is well-known, one of the leading citizens.... She is strong and respected and not afraid of the future.  She speaks with a gentle wisdom. She is always busy and looks after her family’s needs.  Her children show their appreciation, and her husband praises her."  (Prov. 31: 10-31)

This does not imply that all Christian women are like this. However, through proper prayer and continuous hard work, it is possible to obtain the above-mentioned virtues through which she will be able to handle all the work wisely, and obtain and grow in wisdom and strength.

A wife can take the lead to bring about prosperity and success in the family. However she has to put her firm faith and submit to God and in His victorious care.

“Submit yourselves to one another because of your reverence for Christ." (Eph.5:21)

By complaining that the encouragement and co-operation that was expected is not obtained, and hence by neglecting the duties given by God you become wrongdoers in God's sight. Wives who poke their nose in aimless things, and neglect their family and divert from the goal of life are not few in number.

A capable wife should be away from unwanted boastful talks and gossips. If husband and wife are both working, and because of that if the wife is not able to do her family duty, both should pray and decide together and by doing the house work during the night time they can establish a peaceful atmosphere.

Today's generation is caught up in economic crisis and restlessness due to the tension of education.

Above all to be filled with the heavenly peace and contentment, both husband and wife should be the loving children of God who cares.
There is no measure to the shame and insult that the old wife of Abraham, Sarah had to face. Yet the Holy Bible says “He trusted that the One who promised him is faithful and that gave Sarah the power to conceive" (Heb.11: 11)

Those who are supposed to adorn faith have become the ones who by fear have become weary, over burdened, and thus devoid of hunger and sleep.

The Bible says that a capable wife laughs at the future; riches that the naked eyes can see, the huge salary of the husband, nor the sight of seeing her sons becoming successful- -it is not this smile that she puts on. Rather it is the trust in the promises of the Heavenly Father who protects us in the palm of His hand everyday from dawn till dusk without any casualties. She is able to accept with contentment whatever the Lord gives by His knowledge, and thus sleep peacefully at night.

Dear ones, by reading punctually the Holy Bible, believe strongly in your heart that the promises of God shall be fulfilled. Children of God should have love in them not only towards family, children and husband; instead she should be aware of the needs of God's people and be helpful to them.

Doing good in every deeds is the ornament of all women who believe in Jesus Christ. This is reflected in the food that she prepares, the home in which they live and the children that she raises. Her relation with God will be reflected in her own life and habits. Even among problems, in the shortcomings of the family, sicknesses and weaknesses, with faith she is able to do her duties punctually. With thirst in the depth of her heart she should pray at all times in her mind to be filled with gentle and calm spirit of God.

"You should not use outward aids to make yourselves beautiful, such as the way you do your hair, or the jewelry you put on, or the dresses you wear. Instead, your beauty should consist of your true inner self, the ageless beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of the greatest value in God's sight." (1 Pet 3: 4-5)

Those who have this quiet spirit in them have great satisfaction and tranquility in their lives. A capable wife has praiseworthy talents. Her submissiveness is not because of fear or idleness. She always lives with this faith that being a part of Jesus' body, the responsibility given by God and there is authority in her.

The Lord desires such people who pray and wait patiently for the Lord's ways to be fulfilled in His time and according to His plans. Similarly, the wife should carefully keep her purity. By keeping her mind with God and placing her hope in Him she continues to pray and ask Him for His help day and night.

Dear sisters, being a woman God has given you freely the necessary strength and gifts to each one. By using these in proper way, when each one plays her role, according to His constant love, God shall lift you and strengthen you. To obtain maturity through the Word of God and God's spirit, He gives advises, instructions & corrections.

A capable wife does not rely too much on her capability and strives hard for personal spiritual growth as well as family prayer with husband and children, by carrying her cross she walks on the path of God. Those who seek refuge in the ways of the Highest God, He shall safeguard them from enemies and hidden danger. The faithfulness of the Lord shall be their armour and shield.
Dear ones, Jesus Christ is the source of all relationship in the world. Even in marital life Jesus Christ is the focal point. If husband and wife desire a peaceful married life by accepting Jesus who is the peace, as the Lord and Master they must allow to be led by Jesus. They must pray for His divine caring. Otherwise Jesus who joined you, the unity that He desires or to establish any other prosperity or happiness would be impossible.
If you make Jesus as Your Guide He shall protect you from every disaster. Then through our life's circumstances dearly He will show us the things to be rejected and abandoned in our life. He shall lead both of you with one opinion and raise you up as two capable students of a single Teacher.
If you make selfish habits and other wrong ways as your teacher, you will fall into disaster and ruin yourselves. You must open your hearts and allow the God's spirit to work in you.

"If God is for us, who can be against us? Certainly not God, who did not even keep back His own Son, but offered Him for us all! He gave us his Son will he not freely give us all things?" (Rom. 8: 31-32)

God is our refuge and strength. He is a suitable helper at times of trouble. Like a bird He shall protect and defend us under His wings. He shall safeguard the lives of those who seek refuge in Him. He shall establish a prosperous future life. The family which was like a desert shall flourish and be gladdened. Those who live in fear shall obtain courage. Weak body and mind shall be made strong.

For those who trust in Lord Jesus, by amending the errors in your life come into the presence of the Lord. Like the flowers that bloom in the wilderness, to play and sing, God is giving you an opportunity. Praise the Lord!
